Andreas Koerner

Lecturer

Andreas Körner is currently teaching and researching at the Department for Experimental Architecture at Universität Innsbruck. Besides his commitments in Innsbruck he also teaches in the Bio-integrated design programme at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London. After studying at Technical University and the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Andreas graduated from University College London (2016). In the past he has lectured at Oxford Brookes University (2016-18), the AA Visiting School Jordan (2018), and the Estonian Academy of Arts (2019). He has exhibited and presented his work at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2014), the London Festival of Architecture (2017), the London Design Festival (2018), the Tallinn Architecture Biennale (2019), the Copenhagen Art Fair (2019), and at numerous occasions in Austria. Andreas gained professional experience in Austria and London, most notably at Soma Architecture in Vienna (2011-14) and UberRaum in London (2016-18). In his doctoral studies he investigates the relationships between digital design, responsive materials, and digital simulations in architectural design.
