DFR Course

The structure of DFR is “vertical”: Students from various classes work with and learn from each other.

Start: March 2022

Duration: 2 semesters (part-time)

Course program: 30 ECTS (4 VUs and Open Design Studio Base & Project)

Degree: Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)

Possibility to be credited to the planned Master of Advanced Studies (90 ECTS)

Fees: € 7.800,–

Target group

DFR is for creative minds from all industries (e.g., architecture, fashion, contemporary and applied arts, technology, design, photography, product design, industrial design, etc.) with undergraduate degrees and/or work experience in relevant fields.

Requirements for participation

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent at a domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution is required for application.

Applicants without such a degree may also qualify for the program in certain cases, provided they can demonstrate relevant work experience of approximately 3 years.

Sufficient knowledge of English is required, as the entire program is conducted in English. Basic knowledge of common digital editing programs is a plus, an interest to work with such programs is a must.

  • Detailed portfolio of selected works
  • Project description with detailed schedule, a list of required equipment, further information on the concept, such as storyboards, recordings, films, etc.
