What will be the “new normal”?
This was the main question in the first course of the university course Designing Future Realities, which started in October 2020 as a cooperation between the University of Innsbruck and Destination Wattens.
The VU “Art, Design & Cross-Disciplinary Sciences” pursued the goal of imparting competencies in the field of interdisciplinary and artistic research. Different methods and strategies in arts-based research and research by design were discussed and applied, participants investigated a variety of digital and physical research methods.
The results ranged from mapping virtual and real spaces, to material testing, to theoretical explorations of how people can work, live together, and collaborate in post-digital environments. The course was led by Marjan Colletti, Andras Körner and Mümün Keser.Â
